A professional landscape designer since 1993, Cherie specializes in creating garden spaces for homes, businesses, and schools that reflect and respect place. She utilizes native and well-adapted plant materials so that the landscape not only requires less maintenance and is better for the environment, it also allows for a nurturing habitat for both creatures and those who enjoy watching them. She attended Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude from Texas Woman’s University in 1984. She is certified as a Texas Master Gardener and Landscape Design Critic and has designed schoolyard habitats and environmental curriculum across Texas.

Cherie retired from her company – Nature’s Tapestry – in 2023 to care for her parents.
